ABOUT FUNNY ON SUNDAY
Welcome to Funny On Sunday, where laughter takes center stage!
Founded in 2023 by comedian and media personality Promise, with the mission to bring people together to share laughs, enjoy dope vibes, and savor good food. We believe comedy is best experienced in a community, and we strive to create events that reflect that belief.
Funny On Sunday began on the final Sunday of each month at Kinky Restaurant & Lounge in Milwaukee, WI. Our gatherings provide a platform for established comedians and up-and-coming acts to showcase their talent, plus a soundtrack provided by DJ Gee-A. As we continue to grow, we seek to expand to other venues, ensuring that even more people can join in on the fun and laughter we’ve created.

George Willborn
“The Stress Reliever,” a legendary comedy veteran who rose to fame in the 1990s. Hailing from Chicago, he gained recognition as the house MC at All Jokes Aside, the city’s first primarily African American comedy club. Sharing the stage with icons like Jamie Foxx, Bernie Mac, and Steve Harvey, he has graced platforms such as Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comic View, and Shaq's All Star Comedy Jam. Beyond stand-up, George has also made a mark in radio, contributing to several nationally syndicated shows across three decades.
COMEDIAN
Antoine McNeil
Originally from Milwaukee and now based in Madison, Antoine has earned the title of Madison's funniest multiple times. He has graced the stage at the renowned Chocolate Sundae's night at The Laugh Factory in LA and has shared the spotlight with talents like Lil Rel Howrey, K Dubb, and Emmanuel Hudson. In addition to being a traveling act he is the producer of Comedy & Poetry Jam, a monthly showcases for comics in the Midwest.

A legend in Milwaukee from the airwaves to nightclubs and everywhere else in-between. Gee-A also hosted the Emmy-nom. TV show “Show Me Milwaukee”on WISN 12 NEWS & Very Local app,
